On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas perform puja together
March 1, 2022, marks the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, the festival which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. To mark the occasion, social media has been abuzz with heartfelt wishes pouring in from Bollywood celebs, including, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgn, Hema Malini, Sonam Kapoor among others. Power couple Priyanka and Nick Jonas not only wished their fans on the festival but also give a glimpse of their celebration. The couple performed Maha Shivratri puja in their Los Angeles home.
Taking to her Instagram handle, the desi girl shared a photo of her and Nick offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Both can be seen sitting with their hands folded as they perform puja as per rituals. While the actress looked elegant in a pink coloured floral ethnic suit, Nick opted for a white kurta pajama. Both were seen at their traditional best.
Sharing the photo, the desi girl also extended her warm wishes to her fans and followers on the occasion. Interestingly, although Nick and Priyanka stay out of India, they always ensure to celebrate festivals as per Indian rituals. In fact, the actress once revealed that Nick always asks her to perform puja before any major event in their lives.
On the personal front, the couple is currently enjoying parenthood bliss as they recently welcomed their first child, a baby girl via surrogacy. The duo shared the happy news with the world by releasing a joint statement on their respective Instagram accounts. The statement read, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on the family.
